I store music, pictures and data in my Toshiba.
Downloading music from the web has nothing to do with the device. Uploading
music to the device on the other hand can be a different story. With the
iPod you need iTunes, with my Toshiba I can use the Gigabeat software that
comes with it, I can use Windows Media Player and avoid havinh to install
any other unnecessary software on my computer, or I can simply copy the
files to it with "My Computer". Same thing with the Samsung and other I've
played with.
Now try uploading music to your iPod without iTunes... good luck :)
