The report will start with last Wednesday, October 4, to Northbrook
"farm,orchards, whatever"- Dave C., Charlie, newbie G.Randy W. and
Doc. Charlie came mistakenly equiped for a Doc's Manyunk tour, with
sneakers, and the toe-clip bike. He offered to return home, switch
outfits, bikes and to meet us on the way or at lunch.
We casually rode some extra sections and the longer route to enable the
catch-up, waited at lunch, did the retrace route back but no Charles. 62
miles, great weather.Worried a little, I called Charles who it turned
out went kayaking!
Today, October 11, was cloudy but still warm. Charles (Without the
Kayak), G.Randy W. and Doc set off for Kennett Square. Extremely heavy
traffic but generally courteous drivers. Lunch at the Butcher's Market
Cafe in KS and light rain on the return. 3.5 miles short of the
advertised 60 to minimize wetness.
Doc will be away next Wednesday, October 18. Drs Stockley and Westby
with lead next week at the usual time 9:30.
Doc/Larry
