Subject: Kickoff meeting/Darby Creek Greenway/Tues Sept 26


There will be the first of three public meetings tommorow evening from 7:00pm till 8:30PM at the Springfield Township Building at 50 Powell Road, Springfield, Pa.

The purpopse of the meeting is to present a very general picture of possible things to implement in a watershed, linear Greenway, and to gather input from the public about what they may want .  The area includes 26 municipalities in the Darby- Cobbs watershed and all their tributaries.

Because of the professional posture of the presenters, Urban Research and Development Corporation, I do not expect the meeting to be confrontational.  I urge all interested parties to attend the meeting to hear what others have to say and to share any personal concerns and desires.  Bicycles and Cycling will definitely be included in the planning.
