On Wednesday, September 27, at 9:30AM, Larry, Charlie and Mike set off
on the old Marsh Creek Park ride expecting the usual hoagies from the
Downingtown WaWa, carried to the Park for lunch. There were many
reminiscences about Bob Leon from past trips to Marsh Creek provided
primarily by Charlie.(Charlie was an early mentor (tormentor?) for Bob
and pushed him to longer distances and increased leadership
activities. There was reference to rides with Gina, Dave Bennett and
other names I do not recognize- Ken, Craig, etc.)

We were slowed by these pleasant distractions and Mike suggested
shortening the ride by lunching at the Downingtown Wegmans. The various
Creek Roads are newly surfaced and lightly traveled, then Quarry Road
into the shopping center. Wegmans is a super spot for lunch (or dinner)
and might surpass Northbrook as a cycling lunch destination. 65 miles
round trip from 320 Market. (Should we include a Harmony Hill option,
next time? )
