[DVBC] New York City Help

I need to go to Manhattan early Wednesday morning and will be on my
bike, the weather forecast for Wednesday is rain.  My plan is to ride up
on Tuesday evening and stay in a hotel closer to the city.  I have been
looking at my New Jersey and New York maps and don't know enough about
that area to make a decision of where to stay.  I would appreciate any
advice you may give as to a hotel close to the city that will not cost
an arm and a leg.
