Thank you for posting this Len.  This is important.  There is never much traffic on this road but now there will be even less.  We celebrate the idea that Penndot will allow Bike/ped use.  Of course the local residents need to get around somehow anyway.  As many of you know, this is a beaten path for us and has always been a part of our Brandywine tour as well as Greenhill/Applegrove roads on the other side.

I hope all DVBC members survived the flooding intact.

  Got this from a member of WCBC.  Thought it might be of interest.

   

  The part of Brandywine Creek Road alongside the rocks west of Harvey’s Bridge Is falling into the creek much like PA 82 south of Birdsboro fell into Hay Creek many years ago.  Reconstruction will be a major undertaking, but PennDot plans to repair the road. PennDOT promised to keep the road open for cyclists and pedestrians despite the fact that it is closed to cars.
