[DVBC] Fiddler's picnic

We left Chadds Ford at about 1020. One flat tire delay. Rode up Rt 82
from Coatesville, that long downhill many enjoyed after the DVBC picnic.
We returned down it, repeating last Saturday's return route. The
fiddlers go from 9:00am to 5:00 pm. We were only able to listen from
1:05 pm to about 2:00 pm so our sample was small. There is a stage for
organized groups and pockets of folks playing together informally. Folk
/ acoustic music with standards, original work, fiddlers, banjos, at
least one wash tub bass, dulicimers, etc. I did not recognize the
LaDrews. Tie dye, beards, braids were in. Vendors [not checked out],
food choices included hot dogs, BarBQ chicken, pulled pork or beef. Lots
of shade. Cost: $5 to park an infernal combustion vehicle. Bikes free.
If there is interest we can organize a DVBC ride next year, leaving
earlier so more time can be spect at the Picnic. I left my house, near
Rts 3 / 352 at 9:05 to ride to Chadd's Ford, did 74 mi, and did not get
home until 5:05 pm.
