[DVBC] C at Rose Tree Ride Report

Hi All,

Last night's Wednesday C Ride from Rose Tree Park went off at 6pm and saw no rain the whole ride!

Our group sported 14 riders all of whom were glad to bet against rain and tolerate the humidity for a 2 hr scamper through the (approximately) normal Wednesday route. After Ridley Creek State Park, rider John decided his "slow leak" wasn't slow enough and turned for home. Bridge work on Station Rd prevented us from doing the little loop at the end near Cheney. Instead we made the runaround point Westtown school, where field hockey camp is apparently providing wholesome fun for hundreds of girls of all ages this summer. The rider of the orange Trek 1000 received a "We hope you win!" from one of the neon-shirted campers.

We kept a pretty steady pace over the 25 miles but I don't think anyone was struggling. Thanks to everyone for coming and especially for those with route suggestions and tips for this new club rider and leader. You will be safe in Debbie's usual Wednesday night hands soon enough.
