[DVBC] such nice weather and no ride reports

hey dave,

i didn't ride on saturday due to old friends visiting from virginia, but
on sunday i took my son and his pal, who just got a new bike, on the
schuylkill river trail from miquon to oaks and back. 27 totally flat
miles, but my son's buddy has medical issues which preclude lung-busting
activity, so it was a good course for him.

it was surprisingly cool and we had a head-wind all the way to oaks.
where the schuylkill trail turns into the perkiomen trail, you can now
go straight at the end of that bridge, to all those warehouse-looking
places, where the rock-climbing gym is. there's a restaurant in the
back of the complex called arnolds, and you can eat outside. it was a
serendipitous find. they have a big sign at the end of the trail.
in fact, i think it's called the "end of the trail cafe" or some such.
typical hot dogs, burgers, pizza, chese-steak kind of stuff, but i was
able to get two chicken breasts with hot-sauce... no carbs, just grilled
chicken, which was quite good.

i told the boys that we should have a tail-wind all the way back, but as
is sometimes the case, the weather deities saw fit to reverse course and
grace us with the opportunity for extra aerobic activity on the
south-bound trip.

surprisingly, and fortunately, there were relatively few hell-bent
time-triallists on the trail, which made for a much less nervous ride
than i've experienced in the past.

hope everybody has good rides this week... looks like nice weather.
i'm in the bay area 'til friday morning, so will have to miss the AHCS
and wednesday night rides. maybe next week, if i'm around.

-eric
