Len,

I may be reading something into your concern about liability leading a
DVBC ride, but I have two items to point out:

1. I don't think leading rides exposes anybody to liability unless
grouse negligence can be proved, IE: directing people to ride off a
cliff. You can't be held accountable for a car crashing into somebody,
that liability rests with the driver, and the last time I checked
running down a bicyclist is still against the law. You can't be held
liable if someone riding a bicycle crashes into another cyclist, car,
truck, brick wall, pot hole, that liability rests with the cyclist.

2.	If you lead DVBC rides at least there is insurance to cover
accidents!!!
