I think the issues brought up about the liability of the club and ride
leaders is a good discussion and needs to be cleared up.  Unfortunately
in the litigious society we live in Lawyers (lyres) pray upon people and
organizations with money, and organizations with insurance, so they can
line their pockets.

Len,    I would like to publicly apologize for the comments I made about
you leading club rides. I feel I was a cause of some of this B.S.   I
did not realize you were a member of another club who was trying to
include everybody in your rides. I have ridden with you in the past and
would be glad to ride with you in the future. I also feel that a bicycle
club should in no way ever be held liable for injuries incurred during a
ride.  We all know that accidents happen that the club has no control
