Although I didn't ride today, I drove out to Northbrook and got there
about 10:55. I saw Brian Wade's group for about 5 minutes before they
left. He was with Lewis, Joel, Len (not Len Z.), and another guy.
David Bennett was there separately. They were all eying my Wawa
coffee. All of those guys left within 10 minutes of my arrival. I
thought I may have missed Cheryl's group but waited. Then Woody, Doc,
Ira, and Don showed and a couple minutes later Len Z. showed up (Good
Len). Then Tony arrived. We waited and waited and watched some guy
work on a tubeless tire and pull the glue off the rim. Finally I called
JoAnn who was on Cheryl's ride and she said she'd see me soon. I
decided to go get some food so I would beat the rush. Got the food and
hung out and talked with the guys. Still no Cheryl's ride. Decided to
eat. Ate. Still no Cheryl. Hung out some more. Finally Cheryl's
group got there about 12:20 or so. Chatted with everyone. There
weren't any flats or crashes just a slow pace. Hung out with everyone
and headed home. Total mileage on my car about 55 miles.
Interesting morning and good to see everyone. Saw lots of other riders
on my way home along Creek Rd.
