I too had a great ride in and back. Had a lot to do today so I split back to the County via Southwest Philly after the first heat. It was good to get and early start and return. Yes the fog was tough. The funny part (Dave & Jake), who do you think I saw on Grays Ferry Avenue heading the opposite direction as me? That large walk-o-thon that caused us to divert when we were in Fairmount Park. Definitely quite a bit thinned out from how they were the first time we saw them. Still quite a cheerful bunch though. I was kind of surprised they'd send them though a neighborhood that has seen so much tension over the last few years. Oh yeah, it was neat seeing Deb and Maureen win their first heat out. Congratulations girls!!!

Glad you guys won the first race!Ride in the morning was a bit difficult due to the fog, it was pretty dense and all three of us had tons of condensation on our glasses, our bikes were also wet from the moisture. We made it on time to see the race then rode down to the Art Museum, then back on the River Drive and into Manayunk. Dave at that point continued to VF while the Hop Devil (me) went back solo to Drexel Hill (without getting lost!!!) Excellent day!Jake

Frank, Jake, and I made it down to the Dragon Boat races today.
We got there early enough to see Maureen and Deb's team win their first race.
Not only can they each push the pedals but they do a good job pulling on those paddles.
It looked like a fun event.
Each of us riders had are own agenda for returning home and we each eventually split up and went solo.
I rode out to Valley Forge, then back to Maniyunk, and then took Bob Martin's route back to Drexel Hill.
About 70 miles when all was done.Great October weather for a ride.
