Hi,
I had a great time and enjoyed tasting alot of excellent beers. The place
got packed very quickly, so all the tasting lines grew quite a bit. I waited
for about 15 minutes in line just to taste Duvel Maredsous Triple but it was
worth the wait. Logistically I think it would be impossible to try every
brewery, and there were 40 of them. Each one had 2 and some had 3 beers on
tap. Duvel actually poured all their beers from single bottles (hence the
long wait). I had a chance to chat with some guys from Dogfish Head, they
were cool enough to top off my 2oz tasting glass with two different beers
(60 Minute IPA and some type of an Ale I forget the name). Met an older
couple who were in the Rogue Brewery line with me and we joked that we're
the only people here over 30! Yes it kind of felt like Manayunk on Friday
night except everyone was drinking real beer ;-)
The event was well organized and everything went smoothly as far as I could
see. Food was good and not too expensive; I had a bratwurst with a Yard's
Saison, went very well thank you. Oh and the tickets sold out about 15
minutes after I got in (around 2:30pm).
