[DVBC] markings and cue sheets

Regarding cue sheets and markings:
I did the 100 mile route without looking at the cue sheet (for the most part), and just looking at road markings. The markings were excellent. I missed two:
1) The turn immediately after Fred Engle, because I was chatting. Since continuing on brought us to a major crossing with no markings, we knew we missed it. So there was no problem there, and it wasn't the fault of the markings anyway.
2) Mile 53, right on to Black Bear Rd -- I didn't see the pre-marker, but as I passed the turn I saw the post-marker. So also no problem.
Also, at Mile 72, where Main St becomes Fallowfield Rd, someone had painted a huge happy face in our Day-glo Tour Orange, with an arrow leading pointing the wrong way. An gullible rider could think that the painters were getting cute and that we should turn there. So a "continue straight" arrow could have maybe helped. But probably no one was led astray there.
So I think the markings were excellent, and I have no opinion on the cue sheet. Having no odometer and no cue-sheet clip, I just didn't rely on it.
Thanks markers and saggers and all volunteers -- a job well done! My favorite thing about the ride and route was that EVERY food stop was right around the next corner when I started to think "I really hope there's a food stop." And the food and people there were great. I had a great first DVBC tour.

Sorry, Tony, maybe I was pushing that one too far.
Anyway, thanks for all your help yesterday, Captain Sag. You were looking pretty stressed there for a while. So I know some riders on the 27 were missing the turn over the bridge -- was that a painting problem? I thought the arrows were pretty good.
You also said that there was cue sheet problem on the longer routes. Was it that I did not tell them to bear right on Creek Road at 926. That was painted pretty well too. What else? One rider on the 65 missed the turn off of Rte 1 and ended up in Concordville.
