I only agree that money’s even only 10% as she indicated shouldn’t be
earmarked for other projects that include museums, etc. It’s like the Port
Authority, giving I believe, 2 million to the Academy of the Arts then
raising the bridge fare. It’s a shame that she doesn’t understand that bike
paths aren’t used for transportation.
The reporters’ opening over stated paragraph (I’m sad to say she’s a fellow
countryman) is typical from an anti-Bush supporter. I’m not a Bush
supporter, but when anybody can tie his name to something negative no matter
how far the reach there it appears. Al Gore lost and Bush sucks as a
president, but enough. You’ll get your chance next year. Peter’s isn’t
responsible for the current allegation of those funds. Just responsible for
making an asinine statement. I think her main point is to get money
allocated correctly, but that will never happen as long as there are many
different interest groups. Every special interest group wants their share
of the pie including cyclists. I believe with her that all monies for gas
tax should be allocated to transportation items.
