You guys don't have to worry, I'll be there tomorrow.  I plan on pacing myself so I probably won't see Edward other than at the start and maybe as he's passing me on his way back home.

Maybe it is not that bad, the 7000 ft I got was on somewhat longer distance and I did few extra hills, so you should be well under it.  However, I did nit climb the Hawk Mt twice as Dave implied.

I actually got it over 7,000 ft (7128 ft to be exact but thatwas on 112 miles distance).

Subject: Re: [DVBC] Saturday's Hawk Mountain Century  Deb, I think that the Bikely estimates of elevation gain area bit on the low side. If I remember correctly Ed S. had his GPS on the lasttrip and I thought the climbing elevation was closer to 6000 ft.  The weather is looking good.
With the proper pacing on the trip out there should be noproblem completing the ride.

Thanks for the info Dave.  The total elevation is 5,092. I'm glad it's not over 8,000 which is what I did on the Lance Armstrong riderecently which was pretty tough.  The temperature for Saturday is supposedto be in the 80's which is good.  No arm warmers needed!
