Juror #6 will be there once or twice to help you along. Though I must warn you that there isn't much to gain by drafting on a climb. Regardless I'll keep the rear flasher on for you follow. No getting lost in the hood.
Glad to see you've gotten back safe and sound;
Frank

Those of you that have been coming out for the Wednesday RTP rides may be interested in the return of the Aston Hill Climbing Society ride that will start up beginning in October. I posted it for Wednesdays in October but forgot to add that it won't take place on October 5th since that's the night of the Iron Hill get together. I'll see if Dan Dillon will be available that night since he may not be going to Iron Hill. Anyway, it's a really fun way to get in shape. We do hill repeaters--we ride to a hill and keep climbing it over and over until we've had enough and then move on to another one. A couple of them are real doozies. Afterwards we go to Rita's for a treat. Everyone is welcome, even Juror #6!

Hey,I was there too (red Allez and red Specialized jersey). I got to experience the "Old Gradyville" for the first time. I know few people mentioned it on here in the past. In my short riding time I've tackled bigger hills than that and more of them but this "Old Gradyville" was a pain to climb, I must have been out of juice, nevertheless it was a great ride with all the guys. As it got darker the ride became a bit more challenging, I just couldn't see any cracks, holes or debris on the road that well. Oh and props to John on the old Fuji! The man can ride! Few guys asked about the light I had on my bike; it is on sale right now at Performance in Paoli for $14. It is called the ViewPoint Flare 5 LED Headlight and comes with batteries. It is not the best but did its job well on Wed evening. Highly recommend it. Looking forward to next Wed ride!Jake

evan was going to ride the RTP ride with me last night, but bailed infavor of hanging out with his buddies, so i went by myself. since i've only ridden a few times this summer, it was interesting tosee that i knew NOBODY on that ride except for maureen and mike (sorrymike, i forgot your last name). last year i would have known most everybody.we had a spirited ride out to cheney and back, but it was dark by thetime we hit RCSP. i'm glad i heeded debbie's advice and mounted my lights.one of the guys on the ride was named john, didn't catch his last name, and he was a character. rode an old fuji, with a heavy knapsackhanging lop-sidedly off his back, with a broken spoke which made hisrear wheel wobble, but he was hammering along with the rest of the groupin his high-top white socks. maybe we should call him "high-top john". or maybe not.... he rode to the ride from clifton heights... goodthing he had lights too.if i'm not traveling again next week, i hope to make the last RTP wednesday night ride again, otherwise, see you all next year!-eric_______________________________________________DVBC mailing listDVBC at list.dvbc.orghttp://list.dvbc.org/mailman/listinfo/dvbc-list
