Everyone, and Maureen,

Yes! We will be there tomorrow at 7 AM.

We may need to do two groups. I don't have much time (gotta be back by around 8:30) so either we can split the ride, or if you want to come with me, we'll do something short but hard. I'll have a cue sheet in case someone wants to lead the group on the full length ride.

Jon

  Jon-

Are you planning to ride tomorrow morning? I am planning to come out (actually I thought this was the week that I had told you I would lead it - although I'll bet other folks know the route better than I do by now..... ).

Anyway, i am up for an early morning ride from 320 market - so if anyone else wants to come out, I'll see you at 7AM!!

    Hi,

Matt, Tony, Carlos and I set out at 7 AM for a 42 mile ride that saw rain at the start, a fine mud in the middle, big wind at the end, and a few creative route interpretations throughout. Once or twice, we blew past what I thought was the next turn, but nobody wanted to back track so we picked our way back to the route. There is some very nice new pavement on Warren Ave (in Newtown Sq. / Willistown) that would be even more fun when dry. Everyone was glad to be back (just as the sun came out!) to 320 Market for coffee, bagels, etc. The extra few miles seemed to make a big difference in hunger levels! This ride provided the perfect excuse for everyone to do a complete bike cleaning this weekend.

This ride is posted as 40-45 miles for the rest of September's Saturdays. Next week it will be only 25 mi and maybe slightly faster -- unless someone else wants to lead and do a longer one. In October, anyone interested can talk to me and see if we want to do it later (for warmth/sun) or shorter, or not at all.

    Jon D.
