Way to go Mel!!

You and Don Larson should get together and skate, Don is a long distance
skater also.

Sorry to hear that you were not able to climb HM. That is really
unfortunate, not being able to complete the ride, and I am sure very
disappointing for you.

Buy the way, the rain was not in any forecast I could find. But here is
the
twist. I went to NJ to meet with Mel; he is getting ready for his trip
to
Atlanta, but not on the bike. He did 45.8 miles on skates
(Rollerblades),
and I did 102 miles on bike. We did not get any downpours or any
substantial rain for that matter, only light drizzle two or three times
for
a short time.

Sorry to hear that you guys got rain and had to return early.
I went out for a short 2 hour ride before heading out with my
daughter to the college open house.
Half way into the ride while coming through Media the skies opened up
on me and I was soaked to the bone and headed for home.
There was no mention of rain in the forecasts I looked at.
Only about 20 miles and soggy feet.
