[DVBC] re: elevation

Most of the website mapping tools have a disclaimer about their elevation measurements. 

I think it was at MapMyRide.com that I read why theirs doesn't "work" per se.... basically if a climb segment is short enough, it gets skipped over. So, if the up comes all at once, it'll be measured, but then if the down happens in short enough chunks, it won't show up. So a loop could have more (or less) climbing than descending. Which is exactly how some of my rides feel!

Another example is to just stand still with a gps in your hand; you can see your elevation fluctuate all over the place. Bikely can't do much better than gps since that's where their original data came from.
