[DVBC] Wednesday's Rose Tree B- Ride Report

Last night's ride was a rollercoaster ride just like the hills we climbed.
At the start we had a total of 12 including me--Jim I., Mike M., Tony F.,
Alex M., Mary (Smiling Rookie) H., Henry L., Michael D., Jack C., Thomas S.,
Michael S., and Patty S.  Tony Rocha joined us for a while going through
RCSP and beyond.  Then Alex dropped off and headed back and Tony R and Jack
went off on their own.  We headed out on one of my favorites routes where a
few mentioned how lost they were.  Henry or Hammering Hank as I like to call
him was pushing the pace and we were definitely going much faster than I had
planned for the ride.  Coming back the boys took off on Creek Rd and up
Gradyville and Smiling Rookie and I hung together to the finish.  Tony F had
some trouble with cramping and was back behind us un-be-known to me.
Everyone got back safe and sound I'm happy to say.  After the serious
accidents two of our cyclists had last weekend, that's a really good thing!
Next week I'm going to stick to the posted pace and not let others set my
pace so that the new riders coming out for this B- ride are not discouraged
by a B+/A- pace.
Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it.   See you on the roads,
hopefully Saturday, for the Babes are back ride.
