[DVBC] Sad news on Sheldon Brown

very sad and unexpected.   i was at harris cyclery last spring and one 
of the guys there was telling me that sheldon had a degenerative 
muscular disease like MS, and had been getting around with a cane, but 
nobody thought he would die from it.   he was no longer able to ride a 
regular bike but had been using a trike lately.

i can't think of a single person, or even a group of people, who have 
done more for the bicycling world than sheldon has.    anybody who 
hasn't been to the harris cyclery site, please pay a visit and just 
explore all the links.   you could learn a great deal and be entertained 
as well.
