Ira,
I thought I would meet up with your group. Road from home arriving at
the intersection on Ridley Creek Rd & Rt 1 at 1030. Came back through
RCSP to Westtown School, a route I've ridden with you several years ago,
then home. 26 mi. About 5 bike riders sighted. Home before
precipitation. Thank you for leading a C or less ride!

2/9 CU at Selene ride report.
Well I don't think anyone of the Aston Hill Climbers showed up, shame on
yous! But I did have 8 riders on 7 bikes. My first tandem ride in years
with friend, Lois, regular CU rider John S., sometimes CU riders, Steve
F. and Tom S., new rider Ben K. who is a Co-op member, and 13 year old
Maria on a (uh) well used heavy mountain bike and her 17 yo brother
Aaron from Prospect Park, who found out about it from my Town Talk press
release.
So we had some pretty varying abilities but everyone stayed together for
the first half. Going back I encourage Ben, Steve and Tom to take off,
especially because we were experiencing some precipitation. Never saw
them again. It was kind of slow going especially with walking some of
the big climbs on the way back, but I think everyone had a pretty
positive experience.
The ride was 26 miles but I got about 33. Since we're thinking about the
ride wrap ups, do I only count those as 16.5 miles since the effort was
shared with my stoker? (Sorry, but I can just never figure out these
finer points!)
Anyone for a ride tomorrow?
Ira
