[DVBC] Scouting alternate route PA East Coast Greenway Sat 2/16

The East Coast Greenway Alliance plans to publish a PA/DE route guide in 9/07. It will follow it's temporary on road route which is identical with Bike PA route "E" between Trenton NJ and the DE line at Marcus Hook.
It will also show an alternate route from the junction of Delaware Ave / Columbus Ave via Spring Garden Street to the Schuykill River Trail south through the Johns Heinz Wildlife Refuge connecting to Bike PA "E" via PA 420 / Wanamaker Ave.  Two alternate routes between the Refuge and Grays Ferry Ave are proposed. I must vote for one alternate by late next week. I am looking for companions to ride both routes, Lindebergh Blvd versus Cobbs Creek bikeway, this Sat. It will be cold, around 32o. We will meet in the main parking lot of the Refuge off Lindenbergh Blvd west of 84th St, ride NB on one route to Spring Garden / Delaware Ave then return SB by the second route. Mostly city streets with bike lanes.

This intensive class will cover everything in a modern tune-up for derailer bikes, as well as flat repair, preventive maintenance, wheel truing and more.
