I copied the article below from today's RoadBikeRider's Newsletter. I think
it's a good idea.

*Dave Zabriskie knows what it's like to be hit by a car.* That accident
several years ago left a lasting impression, not physically but
motivationally. The 29-year-old Slipstream-Chipotle pro has launched *Yield
to Life*, a non-profit organization devoted to creating a safer environment
for cyclists. And that, he figures, will encourage more people to ride for
better health and the good of the environment. Says Dave Z, known for his
off-center sense of humor but his seriousness about this, "It is my mission
to humanize and personalize cyclists to help motorists be aware that we are
'life' and that we deserve a safe space on the road. I love to ride my bike
as do my fellow cyclists, but we should not have to place our lives at risk
everyday for that enjoyment." Among his goals is to develop a database for
cyclists to find the safest and most accommodating roads for commuting and
recreation. The website explains the complete mission of Yield to Life and
has safety tips and rules of the road for motorists as well as cyclists.
