  I'm happy to tell you that both me and my Jeep are ok after having an accident on the way home from Bob Martin's ride on Saturday.  My brakes failed at the intersection of US 1 and Springfield road.  After driving some 120 miles round trip at high speed to Nottingham and back, the brakes decided to fail when I tried to stop at the light while driving about 5 mph.  No visible damage to me or the car I hit.  No injuries. I feel so lucky it didn't happen earlier because I could easily have been killed and killed somebody else.  I was wearing my seatbelt.  I was not wearing my bicycle helmet.  My bike is ok too.
