Dan asked me to write up a ride report for today, so here goes. I don't
have the exact count, but there was a great turnout for today's ride. It
was cold at the start but if you were dressed properly, it wasn't an issue.
>From memory, the following were there: Bob Martin of Nottingham PA along
with his merry men & woman--Dan, Doug, Nancy, Jim "Tarmac" Irwin, Cliff, the
other Doug, Mike Madonna, John S., Mary "Rookie of the Year", Mary's brother
John, Mike Toof, Tom, Jake "I can't get my booties on" and me. This was the
Rookie's first Manayunk Ride as and usual she had a smile on all day long.
The "Red Team" looked MAR-VEL-OUS and the 5 in red all got style points.
Jim lost some since he wore vis-yellow with his red Tarmac, what's with
that? The sun was out and it warmed us on the way out and back. Half of us
ate at Buck's County Coffe and the other half at Mugshots (?) and had fake
chicken noodle soup which was good. Nancy, Doug and Mike Toof took the
easier way back and parted early-ish from lunch. Doug had an appointment
with a gun he didn't want to miss. Oh yeah, Frank stopped by before and
after the ride to say hi. It's a shame he didn't bring us some food after
the ride since Bruster's is closed for the season. The Dominator and
Jittery Jo were MIA. We may have to hold a biking intervention soon. Great
ride and very decent weather both days this weekend.
Well, that's my greasy grimy road dirt and I'm sticking to it.
See ya on the roads!
