[DVBC] Indiana Hiking Club Report

Today's hike was fun.  Indiana was joined by Jo Ann, Dom, Dan, Jake,
Steve, Charlie, John Lucey and Dreamer.  It was cold but we kept moving
and the sun was shining brightly.  We saw two turkey vultures and tried to
get Steve to lay down on the trail to see if they would like he was dead
and check him out so Dan and John could get a photo opp.  At one point, a
herd of between 25 or 30 deer ran across a clearing we were walking by. 
Indy really perked up when he saw them.  That was the most deer I've ever
seen at one time not on a TV show!  I was rating the deer as they were
jumping over a fence that was about 5 feet high.  Quite a few jumped over
the top and got a 9.8.  Others cheated and went through the lower rung of
the fence.  I guess there's slackers out there even in the deer world. 
When we got back by the parking lot all but Charlie and Dan headed home. 
Those two stayed out for another 2 hours hiking on some new trails they
found.  Looks like we've got some more trails to hike next time.  Cool!
