[DVBC] AHCS Ride Report

Yesterday's AHCS ride was definitely an adventure.  Six riders besides
myself showed:  Dan, Mike Broennle, Arjunan Ganesh, Steve Fischer, Jon, and
John Strecher.  We rode, we battled the wind and we limped back home.  The
wind was amazing.  On the first hill, it was pushing us backwards and we
were gritting our teeth all the way up.  Jon, the crazy man, rode a heavy
mtn bike and wore a backpack with bike parts in it and a camelback so he
could train for his CO mtn bike trip.  I think I'm gonna name him "Wild
Man".  Of  course he was flying by on the climbs.  While climbing up Convent
Rd, which is quite steep, the wind actually helped push us up!  I've never
had that happen before.  It was like somebody had a hand on our back and was
guiding us along.  All five, Jon, Mike, Ganesh, Steve and John did great on
their first AHCS.  I hereby induct them into the AHCS.  Your membership
cards will be in the mail shortly.  :)
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
