Jenny (and any others who might be interested):

Here is the information about my upcoming 300 mile 6 day bike ride. I'm leaving on May 18th. After training for the last several months on the hills of Southeastern PA and upstate NY, as well as the flats of NJ, I'm as ready as I'll ever be.

I am riding to raise money for two important organizations, the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies and Hazon, both promoting environmental protection in the Middle East and worldwide.

These two organizations are working on important issues to our environment, while the Arava Institute is unique in bringing students of different cultures, Jews, Muslims and Christians together to promote peace and sustainability.

This is a ride in Israel, but its broader goals are deeply universal. Thinking about sustainability, especially as it impacts the Middle East where our sense of just how finite precious resources are, is a value for everyone. This ride helps to support organizations which know very clearly that nature has no borders and that increasing sustainability - environmentally, socially and economically - is an important way along the path to peace.

You may donate by credit card on my secure, personal website or by writing a check to "Arava/Hazon Israel Ride". If you use a check, please put my name in the memo for proper crediting. You can send the check to me at 35 Forest Hill Drive, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003.

Follow This Link to visit my personal web page and help me in my efforts to support Arava Institute Hazon Bike Ride.

I'll be flying out in a little over a week. I look forward to riding with you again when I get back.

Thanks for your help,
David Singer
