Larry,
It's funny that you mentioned proof because Dan kept saying "I wish I had brought my camera!"  Therefore, we have no visual proof.  Just the word of 5 honest DVBCers (who are still defrosting!)

     The temperature was 25 degrees.  Snow covered the landscape to the right and left of the path.  The gusts of wind blew ice crystals into the faces of the DVBCers and also blew small clumps of snow from the overhead trees into the trail ahead.  Patches of ice intermittently slowed the pace of the group as they manuevered to the safest part of the path for good traction.  Snow flurries started as the group was approaching their food stop and by the time they had sat down with their food, a short-lived snow squall was in full force.  Windier and colder conditions greeted the group after brunch.  

     Sounds like we went skiiing, doesn't it?  But of course, these are the conditions that Dan D., Tom S., Jim I., Cliff and yours truly rode 45 miles in yesterday to and from Rose Tree Park.  Sycamore Mills is still torn up - partly patched and partly gouged out.  The outside dining area at Purebread has been removed for the winter.  Cliff ran into someone he knew at Purebread who for some reason seemed surprised that we were biking in this cold weather : ).  Temp was 31 degrees at finish of ride.  Quite a ride!  Enjoyable but I'm looking forward to the "heatwave" this week when the temps are forecasted to reach the 40s.  Thanks to everyone for coming out on the blustery, wintry day!
