Doc,

I have never eaten the pork sandwich at Northbrook but I have eaten the North Carolina Pulled Pork at Pig-Out (http://www.pigouttakeout.com/). I give it a 9.5 out of 10J

Ah, this morning was a beautiful, cool morning in Aston so I got up and drove to my ride. Had all my gear, had a full water bottle, had my Easy Pass, had a power bar and banana. Life was good. Then I got to the Commondore Barry Bridge and immediately upon climbing up and over to NJ what did hit my windshield but raindrops. Not little tiny bitsy drizzly drops but big full bodied ones. As I got closer and closer to Kingsway it got worse. As I pulled into the parking lot I saw some cars and everyone seemed a little astonished and not prepared for this weather. Dan was there and he was preparing to go run. Pool Boy was there and he said that it was going to keep raining until the afternoon so he was going to leave. Jim Irwin was there. So was Bob LaDrew with his friend Bill, Drew and new stoker Chris, and Bob and Nancy Thomas all with tandems. Also there were Doug, Nancy and Doug Mead. At first we're all in agreement we'd wait it out. Then it seemed to get worse. We drove down the road to find a restaurant Doug B. knew about but it wasn't open. Back to Kingsway. I got some coffee at Wawa on the way back. Dan in the meantime had put his running shoes on even before we left for food. He was running. Guess I didn't know that Pool Boy decided to join Dan running. I thought Pool Boy had gone home like he said. Doug B. came up with the idea to go back to Aston where there was no rain and ride. The tandem people decided to stay and wait out the weather. The two Dougs, Nancy, Jim and I went back to PA. Sunny and beautiful back in Aston. We rode out of Planet Fitness out to Westown School and stopped in Glen Mills at the new BBQ place there. Good food, and they give you FREE BEER if you eat there. NICE!!! We got a total of 35 miles in and hills instead of NJ flats. Later Dan wrote me that he, Pool Boy, and the tandems got in a nice 25 - 30 mile ride once it cleared up.

Well, that's the crazy story for today. I plan on listing this ride again for some Thursday night coming up. It's a great ride with a great route.

Oh yeah. I heard through the grapevine that some people thought I didn't have a RTP Wednesday night ride since I didn't post a report. Well, we had a good ride. At first 10 plus me showed up for the ride. However, 2 got off the front and weren't seen again until after the ride. One left on their own and the remaining 8 of us had a great ride and we did some routes not real familiar. Fun ride. I had 28.4 miles at 14.7.

Dreamer
